Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona

Here's a quick 'heads-up' to anyone traveling down Central Avenue and using Google Maps for directions:

Central Avenue, from Roosevelt Street to Camelback Road, is now a divided street. The light rail's been installed along this entire stretch of Central, but Google Maps doesn't know about it...yet. All you have to do is this: go past and turn 'round.

Northbound Central is on the east side of the street and southbound Central is on the west side of the street. If you're heading northbound but need something on the west side of the street, go past where you need to go and make a U-turn at the next stoplight. The same holds for southbound travelers - go past where you're going and turn around at the next stoplight.

To be kind, here are streets (from south to north) where U-turns are allowed (major streets in capital letters): McDOWELL ROAD, Palm Lane, Encanto Blvd/Oak Street, Virginia Avenue, THOMAS ROAD, Catalina Road (?), Earll Drive, Osborn Road, Columbus Avenue, Indianola Avenue/Clarendon Avenue, INDIAN SCHOOL ROAD, Glenrosa Avenue/Farrington Lane, Campbell Avenue, Highland Avenue, CAMELBACK ROAD
